History of River Bank
| |
The River Bank is an entity formed on June 30, 1991 when banks located in Stoddard, Ferryville and
DeSoto were merged. The three unit banks are located along Highway 35, running South along the
Mississippi River. In September of 1993, in order to better serve our La Crosse customers, a
branch office was opened on Mormon Coulee Road. In November 1996, River Bank expanded its service
to the Holmen/Onalaska area with a full service branch bank. Another office was opened in Sparta,
Wisconsin three years to the month later in November of 1999. In May of 2004 a seventh location was opened
on the North side of LaCrosse. On October 1st 2005 Farmers State Bank located in Bangor, Barre Mills, and
Rockland merged with River Bank. This bank was founded in 1910. In December 2007 we built our newest
location in Westby Wisconsin. We now have a total of 11 locations to serve you.

Ferryville Branch

Since the Bank's merger and branch opening projects, the bank's primary mission has been to serve the
banking needs of Crawford, Vernon, Monroe, La Crosse and Trempealeau
Counties. |

DeSoto Branch
|
This continues to be the primary driving force behind the bank today. The unit banks, prior to the merger, had the
reputation of being the banks that were friendly, understood their customers' needs and would go
the extra distance for service and a commitment to quality. This continues to be the hallmark of
River Bank in its expansion into the Sparta, Onalaska, Holmen and Bangor markets.
